Maureen Janson celebrates more than 30 years of choreography  for theatre, opera, concert dance and film.  Her work spans a broad stylistic range, and she has become sought-after for her story-telling abilities, her collaborative skills, and her ease in working with dancers, actors and singers of all movement abilities.  Her concert dance work has been presented nationwide and in Canada, and she has contributed to theatre and opera productions throughout the Midwest.

As a teacher  and practitioner of yoga for the past 20 years, she incorporates aspects of her lifelong dance and somatic training into a meaningful and effective blend of movement ideas focusing on back care and scoliosis.

Based in both Chicago and Madison, Wisconsin, she makes dances, conducts workshops, coaches movement and guides private sessions throughout the Midwest.
